It’s 1947 Hollywood and Eddie Valiant, a down-on-his-luck detective is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar, Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, who begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer.

Detective Sam Spade gets more than he bargained for when he takes a case brought to him by a beautiful but secretive woman. The quiet life of small-town gas station owner Jeff Baily is interrupted when a figure from his shady past, recognizes him.  A crooked gambler had hired Jeff to track down Kathie Moffet a girlfriend who shot him and made off with $40,000. Jeff and Kathie fell in love, but she left him to go back to the gambler, who now wants Jeff to settle a few old scores.
